Before you can add any places on Google Maps, You need to signup for a Gmail account first. signup here
If you are just the map user, you might read this for more help.
Now we can start mapping the world. You need some require materials such as computer and internet connection.
ADDING A PLACE:
1. Launch your browser then type: www.google.com/mapmaker
2. Sign in with your gmail account.
3. Before add a new place, you must search to ensure it does not already exist on the map.
4. Zoom in to where you wanna add. use satellite to make sure you point correct position.
5. Click Add New on top left of the viewpoint.
6. Select Add a Place from the drop-down menu.
7. Drag the red point to the place you want to add, one click on the map.
8. Select a category from the drop-down menu, or start typing in the box to search for a category. Enter the name of the feature in the Name field.
9. Click Continue to add more details in the left panel. You can discard your edit by selecting Cancel.
10. Fill the all the information you know at the left panel such as name in English and Khmer, Phone number, Email address, Website, Working hours, then you can click "Save".
After you done all the step above, your place added to Google Maps. It might take some times to publish your edit after approval form Regional Expert Reviewer.
